#;; IsfahanLug is a nonprofit Linux Users' Group which consists of Programmers ,Software Developers ,Designers , and people interested in “Open Source” Movement and GNU/Linux . The group initiated on April 2007, and now it is one of biggest and most active LUGs in Iran . The goal of the group is to help and work around Open Source Movement. Our General Meeting are held on Mondays in Isfahan Central Library at 5 P.M until 7 P.M. Also We hold Installfests and Festivals like Software Freedom Day. #;; April 10, 2007 was the day a group of Linux fans in Isfahan gathered to form a Linux Users' Group. They had been in touch on Technotux Forum.

This first session was placed at one of these guys' office, where they named the group IsfahanLUG and the IsfahanLUG.org was chosen as its Formal domain name. And Here we are in Isfahan an ancient city and center of Isfahan province. Isfahan is one of the most beautiful and famous cities of the world. We are spreading the soul of Free/Open Source Software's culture. The culture of being free and acting with an open manner. Although we are named as a LUG, our areas of interest include all aspects of FOSS. #;;
